Shakur Stevenson says he believes Terence Crawford was a style to beat Canelo Alvarez even before Dmitry Bivola did it several years ago. Stevenson says he watched crawford hurt heavyweights and he does not believe that Canelo could walk against him with his own strength.
Stevenson says he began to believe that Kreivford would hit Canelo in 2021, when he fought Welterweight Shakur Porter. He believed that the then 34 -year -old Porter was a good meter to predict Crawford’s performance of three divisions over 168.
Loyalty to logic
Crawford, 37, will challenge Canelo for his belts on September 13th. Despite the fact that both divisions increase in weight gain, Shakur does not consider it a problem. He says he believes Crawford was the best fighter for many years in super average weight.
WBC Lightweight Champion Stevenson said it wasn’t important for Crawford (41-0, 31 Kos) moving up two divisions from 154 to 168 to challenge the United Champion Canelo (62-2-2, 38 Ko).

Heavy weight requirement
“I felt in that weight class (168), Terence Crawford is the largest, ”said Shakur about how he thought Crawford is the best super average weight, never fighting there. “I just feel that with Canelo’s style, and it’s above (Dmitry) Bivol did it. I felt that Terence Crawford is the only guy who could beat Canelo with his style.
“I’ve said that even before Bud said. Bud is a southern paw. He, as Southpaw, is difficult for Canelo, ”Shakur continued to praise Crawford. “He has problems with them after I watch he fights John Ryder. He wasn’t that good. It’s just that Canelo fought against the southern paw.

If Shakur thinks Crawford has been the best fighter at the age of 168 for years, why not moved up to test himself? He could do it years ago and earned much more money than he has weight weight. The only big money struggle that Crawford was at the age of 147 is Errol Spence. If he could beat all the super average years, according to Shakur, why didn’t he do it?
Crorford could not hurt Israil Madrimov with his punches in the last fight in 154, and he is nowhere close to being a heavyweight. If he had the kind of power to hurt heavyweights, he had to show it against Madrimov.
