Shakur Stevenson responded today to Teofimo Lopez’s crying after he “rejoiced” and announced his next target for Ryan Garcia. Stevenson replied, saying he would be wrong if he was “choked” at a press conference.
Shakura’s reaction to insult
It would be completely out of nature to Shakur “Smack” Lopez at a press conference. If theater purposes have to be created in a Hype WWE-ish way, the impact would work to create interest.
Fans laughed at Stevenson in social media for trying to sound aggressively and stand on their hind legs once. It would only be happy if he and Theophimo planned it as a stage production.
Shakura’s comment on the wet of Lopez at a press conference shows that he is ahead of himself. The fight is not signed and may not happen. If the money is not there, it will not happen.
The main reason why Stevenson would not hide Theophimo is because he would be so grateful that he has given him the opportunity to pay the day. He owes the Teo. Shakur has asked for this fight for a long, long time. The last thing he wants to do is bite the hand that feeds.
Teofimo had confirmed with his position that he was still planning to fight Shakur (24-0, 11 Kos), despite the fact that he was called Ryan today.
Stevenson should be happy that Lopez is still interested in fighting him, as the clash against Kingia would be more wage in terms of day. It would still be up to the Turkish Alalshikh.
Fighting finance rates
Perhaps he would be ready to overpay for Lopez against Garcia’s game in the same way he does with Canelo Alvarez against Terence Crawford’s fight. It is a fight that fans do not require and it will not buy the same money that is paid to the bags.
So, if the Turks want to overpay for Lopez-Shakura’s fight, it would be greater than Lopez against Garcia’s fight. It simply faces popularity; Garcia’s match is a bigger payday in Theophimo.
