The Governor of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Sanjaj Malchtra, at a meeting of the Monetary Committee in August (MOC) on Wednesday that the Central Bank would retain the repo -state of politics unchanged at 5.5 %. The MOC also decided to continue the “neutral” stance.
In June, the MOC, the RBI reduced the Reto’s policy rate by 50 basic points (BPS) to 5.5 % with an immediate effect. The central bank has changed its stance from “accommodation” to “neutral”.
