Summary
Nisource is a regulated gas tool with smaller electricity operations in six countries: in, Ky, MD, OH, PA, VA. Nisource has operations for transmission, distribution and production. The company provides natural gas through its gas utilities in Colombia to 3.3 million customers, of which about two -thirds of customers are in Ohio and Pennsylvania. About 70% of natural gas deliveries in 2024 were to clients for dwellings.
The Nisource Utility Subsidiary, Nipsco, provides gas and electricity distribution to 1.3 million customers and 460,000 electrical customers. Since 2024, Nipsco has had about 3,300 MW of generating a capacity of 11 buildings and about 55,000 lines for natural gas distribution. There are also LNG operations in Indiana.
