Former Five Division World Champion Sugar Ray Leonard showed his still burning fast -hand speed in Mitt training this week. In the video, the 69 -year -old “Sugar Ray worked in the one that seemed to be on his beautiful mega millions of mansion balconies in the wealthy Pacific Pacific, California.
Leonard’s outdated hand speed
The 1976 Olympic gold medalist Leonard (36-3-1, 25 ko) does not seem to have lost much of his speed since retirement in 1982 due to an eye injury. Even at the age of 20, it would be impressive if the speed showed down in the video this week, which Sugar Ray demonstrated. It is rare to see that Leonard’s age fighter still has a hand speed and looks sporty as he does.
Leonard is considered a gold standard for what important weights should be. No one has yet matched a combination of speed, power and boxing capabilities that was sugar ray. Although some have come since his retirement, fighters such as Floyd Mayweather Jr., Terence Crawford and Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis are not missing the general talent of Leonard.

If Sugar Ray had fought during this era, it was unrealistic how much money he would have earned and his achievements. It would have been interesting to see what he could do in fighting Canelo Alvarez, Gennadiy Golovkin, Crawford, Boots Ennis and Dmitry Bivol.
When Leonard fought, boxing was still shown at major network television stations such as ABC, CBS and NBC. Approaching the end of the Sugar Ray career, his main battles were shown on Prime Minister’s cable platforms, HBO and Showtime. Leonard’s repeat game against Tommy Hernet was shown in HBO PPV in 1989.
