In a major step towards interplanetary research of man in space, in Narajanan, president of the Indian Organization for Space Research (ISRO) and secretary of space department, he officially inaugurated hope (Operational Assessment of High altitude) mission on July 31, 2025. 1 until August 10, 2025.
Set at an altitude of 4530 meters, the HOP mission will simulate extraterrestrial surroundings to strictly test human physiological reactions, the protocols to readiness and technologies related to space flying in extreme conditions. This effort is part of the wider Isra’s roadmap towards the human space flight to the low orbit of the Earth (Leo) and the long -term ambitions that include lunar and Mars expeditions.
“Hope is not just a test of endurance; it is a critical proving future space missions in India.
The mission also serves as high-end environment for life support systems, mobility equipment, communication protocols and crew-key components for real space missions.
10 key facts about Isro’s Hope Mission
- Hope stands for assessing the operating protocol with high altitude.
