DD Vans has a zeal of the converted – and it’s a problem

“He gets a great deal of confidence, Mike, right?” It was Donald Trump in the White House garden Rose on Wednesday afternoon, speaking quite dissatisfied with his 40-year-old Vice President JD Vance at the Speaker of the Home Mike Nsonson-unique before announcing heavy tariffs for most of America’s largest trading partners.

Trump may have been wrong to celebrate the publication of the Global Trade War as “Liberation Day”, but he was wrong with Vans. After all, a man who feels qualified to talk to the heroic president of the country relaxed in war as if he were a little child-seeking that Volodimir Zelenski would tell you thank you to the US president, who recently described him as a “dictator without elections”-is nothing if he is confident.

The same self -esteem, to which I could add arrogance and ignorance, was exposed during a recent unwanted visit to Vance to Greenland. Vice President, with its distinctive mix of seriousness and dugIt has revealed Denmark – a country that has previously accused “is not a good ally” – for failing to protect Greenland from threats by Russia and China. “Our message to Denmark is very simple: you haven’t done a good job from the people of Greenland,” Vans told the audience at the American military base. “You have subordinate to the people of Greenland and you have tried into the security architecture of this incredible, beautiful land table, filled with amazing people.”

The Grandendan may be forgiven for not finding the vice president completely honest in his flattery. The most stunning part of the press conference, however, was when Wans answered a question From a journalist whether Trump was serious about his desire to “acquire” the territory. “The president said we must have Greenland and … We can’t just ignore the president’s wishes,” was his answer.

The idea that Trump should be understood “seriously, but not literally” is so often repeated that it has almost become a cliché. But Vance seems to have not received the memorandum. He seems to be seeing Trump’s word as a sacrosian.

But while Trump seems to be driven most of the desire to be loved and accepted, Vans appears to be driven by a thirst for power. It can make it more dangerous. While Trump is often described as “unpredictable” and “unstable”, he remained incredibly consistent for many issues, trade is one of them – Interview in 1987 with Larry KingIn which he deals with other countries “torn America”, it is worth looking at the current context.

Vance, meanwhile, has radically changed its position of all kinds of things that now seems to be passionate – especially for the existence of God (the former atheist now takes his religion very seriousOnce it turned into Catholicism in 2019) and Trump himself.

Both in his commitment to Trump and his radical ideology, Vans shows the zeal of the convert. In 2016, he privately wrote to a friend that he could not decide whether Trump was simply a “cynical creton like Nixon” or “Hitler of America”; He now treats Trump as if he was elected to God’s supreme leader. When the president survived an assassination attempt last July in Pennsylvania, Vans told the rally that “God saved President Trump’s life that day” and that “what happened was a real miracle. And on that day, America felt the truth of the letter.” It is so dedicated to the cult of Trapthism, in fact, that he is even happy to criticize the president for not having enough Trumpy, as was the case in recent leaked signal conversations involving senior members of the administration.

There is a thin skin of Wans that is also worrying. How Elon MuskAnother recently transformed and powerful member of Trump’s essence, Vance enters into tiny spacing with journalists On social media, all the time, its facts wrong. His best friend from the University said mocking Netflix adaptation to Hilbili Elegia, His growing memoirs in poor white America was the “last straw” in his distancing from the “liberal elites” who initially accepted it.

Three and a half years to spend the next presidential election, Vans is currently a favorite of each party, with bookmakers giving it a 9/4 odds, which is more than 30 % likely to become the next president. Second-Avrorist? Trump himself, who says he is “not joking” about the opportunity. Books offer 9/2 chances-which means 18 percent of the third term that breaks down the Constitution for The monarch of Mar-a-Lago. I’m not completely sure of which of those statistics to care for more.
