Arthur Beterbyev has chosen to move from his attempts to agree on a trilogy fight against Dmitry Bivola after Bivola disappeared from the conversation. Beterbijev’s coach Mark Ramsey says Bivol “disappeared” and stopped calling back.
Ramsie says Bivol’s Russian organizers offered more money, which would have been greater than what he received in both of their battles. He still chose not to go through the fight.
Former undisputed lightweight champion Beterbiev (21-1, 20) is now fighting Deon Nicholson on November 22 on November 22 in Anb Arena in Riyad.
Bivola disappears from fighting conversations
“We Tried to Negotiatate A Fight with Bivol for Months, and He Just Disappeared. At One Point, Riyadh Season Wanted to Organize That Fight, And at One Point, There Were Some People in Rusia That Wanted to Organ That Wanted In Moscow,” SecondsThis, in detailed describing the difficulties that Artur Beterbiev has tried to agree on the third fight with Dmitry Bivola.
Apparently, Bivol believed that money was not good enough for him to act in the third fight with Beterbyev, because he wouldn’t walk away from it, it would be much bigger than what he got in the first two battles.
Both battles were heavy because he was more punished from Beterbiev than in any other fight in his career. In February last year, he only made 12th round with Arthur. He was lucky that Beterbijev did not trust him all the pressure of this type of pressure because he could not withstand it.
Mark Ramssey details Bivola’s actions
“They (Russians) brought a lot of money to the table, and more money than he (Bivol) deserved and more money than he earned the first and second fight in Saudi Arabia. He still refused. He disappeared completely from the conversation,” said Ramssey. “We decided to go ahead with Arthur. He is 40 years old. We don’t want to wait for anyone.”
It is good that Beterbijev has not wasted the remaining 2025 with a trilogy conversation. He fights Deon Nicholson now on November 22 in Riyadh, and then he could face David Benavidez.
Beterbijev will not wait for Bivola
“He disappeared completely from the conversations, and at one point there was no calling out or information at all. So we decided to go another direction. The way the team Bivol is acting right now, I have doubts,” said Ramssey when he asked him if he thinks the trilogy fight. “We want to get back to the ring soon. So we decided to go another way.
Bivol would not have disappeared from the conversation if someone had not promised him even more pay, fighting another fighter. What is being talked about is Bivol Fight Canelo Alvarez or possibly Terence Crawford next, after these two meet next month on September 13th.
The crazy money that Crawford receives is understandable why Dmitry would like to fight the winner of this fight, not $ 10 million or anything else offered to the third fight with Betere.
Crawford receives $ 50 million for Canelo’s fight. Bivols would know that it is too risky to fight Beterbyev and potentially lose this fight. If Arthur beats him again, his chances of fighting the winner of the Canelo-Crawford may go.
“Of course, he wants to fight the bivol for the third time and he wants to do it now. He was ready to do it six years ago, the first fight. Bivol was waiting for and waiting for Arthur to be 40 before he fought,” said Ramssey.
Even when Bivol was waiting for six years, but Erbijev still beat him and deserved to win their repeat match last February. The judges really worked for Arthur in the second Bivol clash in Riyadh. Worst of all, Beterbyev deserved a lottery.
