Boxing Results: Oscar Duarte Majority decision on Kenneth Sims Jr. WBA eliminator

Oscar Duarte (30-2-1, 23 Kos) won 12 round majority decisions over Kenneth Sims, JR (22-3-1, 8 Kos) in WBA lightweight weight title Eliminator Saturday night at Illinois University in Chicago.

In the first round, Sims probably had an edge. In the second round, Duarte hurt Sims with head shots several times. In the last minute of the third round, Duarte hurt Sima with the right on the chin. In the last seconds, Duarte’s half -dozen unanswered shots descended.

In the fifth round, Sims had the best round of going to Duarte’s body. At the last minute of the area, Sims landed with a solid left hook at the chin. Duarte put the right top cut close to Sims.

At the last minute of the seventh round, Duarte was in the Sims corner with a combination to the chin before Sim resisted the left hook at the chin at the bell. In the ninth round, Duarte was a good round to the last seconds, when, from ropes, Sims landed on the left hook at Duart’s chin.

At the last minute of the first round, Diaz descended to the left at the chin, almost dropping the apps that had just managed to pass through the round. In the final seconds of the second round, Diaz descended to the left on the chin, putting on his feet at the bell.

Cruiserweight Tristan Kalkruth (16-1, 11 Kos) stopped late sub ‘Boogeyman’ Devonte Williams (13-3, 6 Kos) in one second of the third round of the planned 10 rounds.

In the first round, Williams, who began the battle for a late announcement, initially landed left hooks for Kalkreut’s chin. At the last minute, Williams took the lead on the right to Kalkrut’s chin in a round.

In the final minute of the second round, the left hook dropped Williams from Calcutta to the elbow to get 8 from the judge Joel Campuzano, the latest Williams left except his mouthpiece. Heavyweight Olympian Joshua ‘Rocket’ Edwards (4-0, 4 Kos) played Cayman Audium (4-2, 2 Kos) at 1:29 from the planned six-round first round.

In the first minute of the first round, Edward dropped the tissue with the right on the chin, taking the 8th of Judge Ben Rodriguez. Halfway directly from Edward took the tissue across the ring in the ropes, forcing Rodriguez to prevent it.
