Richardson Hitchin says he will go until 147 to challenge Devin Hanea for WBO Welterweight title if he beat champion Brian Norman on November 22. Hitchin is not interested in fighting Norman’s latest, so if he has won against Hanea, he will not move to 147.
Lopez Fight: Money Talks
The second Hitchin’s two -brain list aims to theofimo Lopez, which does not require him to go to weight. He will need Turkish Alalshikh to show interest in this fight. Teo will not fight with Richardson (20-0, 8 Kos) unless he paid the money he received for his title protection against Arnold Barboza’s latest on May 2. Even then, it is not clear whether he will fight with him.
Hitchin comes from the eighth -round killing victory over George Cambica’s latest on June 14th in New York. He believes that the fight has put him on the stage of the world. It would require much more than beating the Cambica Jr. to make Hitchin popular, and he does not want to take the risks to become a big name. If he were, he would be ready to fight Norman the latest, and he was not.

Instead of fighting Cambic, Hitchin had to fight his then IBF compulsory Subriel Mathias or Gerry Antuan Russell. It looks bad that he chose these boys instead of these boys. Although Hannel himself is a runner, he has not struggled with other runners. He is always focused on straight punches. The only exception is when he fought Vasily Lomachenko, but he had great advantages towards him.
“When I go up, I don’t want no excuse. He’s a bigger person. He’s been to weight,” said Richardson for his dream of fighting Hanea. “So when I come up and grab his belt in my first fight at the age of 147, it was better to wake up the boxing world and realize it is my s ***.”
Hitchins 147 pounds reality
Richardson must be more realistic. If he moves up to 147, the only fighters he can potentially get is WBO champion Brian Norman’s youngest or Shakhram Giyasov. In other words, fighters that he does not want to fight because he may lose. Hannel, Ryan Garcia and Theophimo will not fight with him because he has a tough style and is not popular.
“We don’t like each other very much. We f *** around and bite each other. That’s how we don’t like each other. It will be a great battle for boxing,” said Hitchin for the fight between him and Devin.
Hannel is tolerated by Hitchin as irritation, home flight, but he has no real interest in fighting him. The guys the haney wants is Ryan Garcia
