A corporate worker who moved from Noida to Bengaluru to raise a 30,000 -pound salary is now sorry for the decision, calling the city infrastructure, traffic and living conditions as the biggest blow.
In the place of Redit titled “Moved to Bengaluru by Noida and Sorry”, the worker described the city as “dirty, not organized”, with “bad roads” and “the worst traffic”. They also noticed questions with water quality, overcrowding and cultural divisions.
After having a year working in a postgraduate study by Noida, the employee initially restricted his job job in NCR. But when a chance in Bengaluru came with a salary increase, they took the jump. For four months, they are wondering if the exchange is worth it.
“I am really sorry that you have moved from Noida,” they wrote, adding that despite his pollution, they still consider Noida “the city as the best degree-1 work”. The post ends with the warning of others: “Give yourself a while and think – is it worth moving?”
The post caused a heated debate. One user who moved from Bengaluru to Noida said they saved money and stress: “I feel much safer in Noida than Bengaluru.”
Another user described the feeling undesirable in Bengaluru because of regional bias: “He felt like I could buy a house in Bengaluru, but I never call it home.”
Some have criticized the lack of city planning. “There is nothing that works properly – roads, flyers, metro, all in a chaotic loop,” wrote one user, calling it “the most unplanned city”.
A local resident recognized the fighting for Bengaluru’s infrastructure, but blamed rapid, unplanned growth: “Sorry for feeling discriminated against. It’s just a few people whose activities have tarnished the whole community.”
