Sheeraz has never fought in 168, and his controversial 12 -round draw against WBC 160 pounds champion Carlos Adames on February 22 looked hellish. Berlang Canelo overtook a unilateral 12 round decision last September, and he will quickly receive a repeat game with the Mexican star, beating Sheeraz. The WBC title for the eliminator must include the contenders ranked in the top five, which excludes Berlang.
As the event is staged in New York, it makes sense that Brooklyn’s native Berlang is in the main place. In terms of talents and achievements, Berlang should be close to the bottom because he has done nothing in his career. Edgar will bring his fans.
