Your Guide to what Trump’s second term for Washington, Business and the world means
Elon MuskThe billionaire investor who clashed with Donald Trump, after being one of the president’s closest allies in the US business, said he had formed a new political party to combat the “one -party system” that hit America.
Musk announced the call for X, his social media platform, on Saturday, after July 4 of Trump’s Homeland Policy, which Tesla and Spexxes blew him to add America’s debt.
“When it comes to the bankruptcy of our country with waste and graft, we live in a one -party system, not in democracy. Today, the party of America is formed to restore freedom,” Musk wrote.
Musk did not offer significant details of starting his political venture, but said he would initially at least target the key races of Congress. He did not indicate that he would be a candidate for a political office.
“One way to do this would be laser-focus in just 2 or 3 seats in the Senate and 8 to 10 house areas,” Musk wrote on H. X on Friday. “Given the slim razor legislative margins, it would be enough to serve as a decisive vote for disputed laws, ensuring that they serve the true will of the people.”
Musk’s move to create a new US party comes after he collapsed on the US political scene last summer as a top donor and adviser to Trump, helping fund the president’s winning campaign in 2024 and organize operations to some districts in the battlefield.
Musk then joined the Trump administration as an older adviser to the president and the leading officer in the so -called Government Efficiency Department, who was trying to find ways to save money in federal agencies.
But Musk fell with Trump over the president “A big, beautiful account“Tax cuts, while only partially pays for them through new cost reductions, adding more than 3TN to American debt over the next 10 years, according to various independent projections.
“Anyone campaigning with the promise to reduce costs, but continues to vote for the biggest increase in the ceiling in history, will see his face on this poster in the next year,” Musk wrote last week, showing a picture of Pinocchio with the word “liar” written over his face.
Musk surveyed his audience on Fid on Friday to ask if the respondents wanted to form a new party, revealing that 65.4 % wanted the “party of America”, while 34.6 % oppose it.
But although Musk could be deployed is its own huge breast of the financial war to finance a new political party, such a venture would face huge obstacles to the breakthrough in the US and Democrats.
Efforts to create third parties in the United States-unveiled the “no label” movement that tried to offer Trump’s alternative and then-President Oeo Biden in the 2024 presidential election-Rutinski failed.
