Bengaluru’s problems with traffic problems have once again turned into an internet spectacle. Viral post, advertising a satirical package “4-day, 3-night tourism in Bangalore”, highlighted the most famous traffic-related traffic points, the junction with silk, Marahali and the appearance of the CSR-like being considered.
Former CEO of Infosis, Mohandas Pai, shared the image of X (formerly Twitter), expressing its frustration from the city infrastructure. Calling it “Bengaluru’s sad joke”, he wrote, “at least we have a sense of humor for our suffering and unnecessary government.”
Social media react: humor or criticism?
Viral posting has caused mixed reactions online. Some users appreciated humor, while others considered it another round of criticism from Pai.
One user dealt with the language of the post, saying: “The joke is not sad in itself, but the fact that it is not written in Canada can upset many!”
Another user suggested: “If we want to solve the traffic problem! 25 IT IT Committee of the People. At the helm with you! 1. Comprehensive Road Plan Only 2 Roads for ITPL, How It Complete This to 6LK People. Only 4 Lanes? 2. Metro 3. Flying, Roads.
Others have questioned Pai’s repeated criticism without offering solutions. “You are posting so many ranks … What is your solution to Bengaluru traffic problems? Build tunnels, elevated roads, flyers, underpasses? Please come up with some practical suggestions, it would be far more useful. “
Meeting with Deputy Karnataka
In the midst of the online debate, Pai recently met with Karnataka Deputy Minister DK Shivakumar to discuss Bengalu’s urban challenges.
According to Annie, Pai, who is also president of the Global Manipal Education Services, visited Shivakumar at his Sadashivanagar residence on Saturday. Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Pai stressed the need for comprehensive development.
“Bengaluru is a great city, a global city and a scientific city. We need better paths, roads and subway expansion.
